Open for all to feel God’s love and be free
Our Pastor is The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Each Christian Science service is 100% about God, Christ Jesus, and you. The half-hour Lesson Sermon comes straight from the Pastor, and though the subject changes each week, the vibrant Word doesn’t. It is all about who God is, what God is doing in the world, and who God made you to be. Why is that so important? Because with it you have the key to really understand the Bible and to be set free – mentally, morally, spiritually, and physically. It is Christianity as Jesus taught and lived it — just as powerful, reliable, and healing as ever before.
There is music, too! Join in the beautiful and much loved hymns sung throughout the service. If they are new to you, they will quickly become favorites. The gifted pianists and vocalists who are part of our musical team also provide the soundtrack for prayerful stillness and peace before, during the solo, and after the service.
Sunday School is provided at the same time for children and young people up to the age of twenty. Child care is provided for the very young at all our services and meetings.
Wednesday evening meetings
God’s healing love is relevant to every single person on the globe, no matter who or where they are. The readings at this service turn to the Pastor for light on needs we see in the world every day — happiness, peace, health, children, food, safety, church… They always challenge you to look deeper, to love more, and to make God your one and only.
The Wednesday evening meetings are also about gratitude. The second half of the meetings are full of every-day people thanking God for new views of His love, made possible through Christian Science. We’ve heard about healings of knee pain, arthritis, burns, back injuries, grief, cancer, relationship problems, mismanaged finances, employment needs, and so many other proofs of God’s ever-present care for each of us. It’s deeply hope-giving, inspiring, thought-provoking, warm, and sincere.
And there is song! Hymns and beautiful piano music round out this mid-week testimony meeting.
And prayer… We always make time to pray the Lord’s Prayer together, and to pray for one another — lifting each other up in Love.
