For some 40 years Maryl Walters has been a practitioner of Christian Science healing, joyfully helping people find solutions to their own and world problems through the practical Christianity found in Mary Baker Eddy’s book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In 1994 she became a teacher of Christian Science and was also appointed to the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. Since then, she has presented talks and workshops on Christian Science across North America to a variety of groups in many different venues. She also writes for the Christian Science Sentinel and the Christian Science Monitor and has been interviewed on Sentinel Radio.
Maryl graduated from Eden Theological Seminary in 2012 with a Masters in Theological Studies. She is active on the ecumenical team of The Mother Church under the auspices of the Committee on Publication. She contributes frequently to the Circle of Faith blog on christianscience.com.
Maryl is involved with local St. Louis interfaith activities and dialogue groups and is a member of the Cabinet of the St. Louis Interfaith Partnership. She is currently serving on the Interfaith Relations Convening Table of the National Council of Churches which involves meeting and connecting with other Christians as well as being involved in Christian/Muslim and Christian/Jewish dialogues at the national level.
