For this Wednesday’s meeting (October 29, 2014) readings were on loving your neighbor including excerpts from Jesus’s parable of the Good Samaritan in the Bible (Bible text. Readings from Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy followed including this passage: “Unselfish ambition, noble life-motives, and purity, — these constituents of thought, mingling, constitute in‐dividually and collectively true happiness, strength, and permanence.” (p. 58)
People at the meeting shared examples of how they are praying for their neighbors in need as well as actually offering practical support, including staying with a friend who was having a difficult time with a family member challenged by drug addiction.
