For the next three months, we will be sponsoring noon and 7 p.m. lectures on the third Thursday of the month.
Second in our Third-Thursday lecture series is Josh Niles of Boise, Idaho on the Big Idea of HEALING. His lecture, “The law of harmony and Christian Science healing” presents the idea that everyone has the right to feel God’s healing power and to be free from any limitations on health, happiness and well-being.
Here’s what Josh says about his lecture:
“In this lecture I will talk about how harmony is actually a constant and consistent law of God and how Mary Baker Eddy’s discovery of these divine laws, which have been in operation throughout all time, can be brought to bear in any circumstance through holy inspired prayer,” says Niles. “Christ Jesus mapped the way for all mankind to better understand God and feel His undiminished love, which leads to harmony and healing. “
During his talk Niles, will reference the original sourcebook on Christian healing, the Bible, along with Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, a book of universal ideas on practical spirituality. Niles will share examples of healing through Christian Science from his own life to help illustrate that everyone can experience the kind of harmony and healing that Jesus pointed to in his ministry.
Josh Niles has long had the desire to serve others. This desire led to activities like tutoring, coaching, teaching Sunday School as well as serving in the Army. Each of these activities, but specifically the Military service, significantly shaped his understanding of God and God’s unbreakable divine laws. It was there that he began to understand that this prayer-based system of healing that Mary Baker Eddy discovered and named Christian Science is the most significant thing in the world, for all mankind.
Since 2008, Josh has dedicated his full time and attention to the healing practice of Christian Science and is now teaching students how to effectively pray for themselves and others. He is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship and speaks internationally, traveling from his home in Boise, Idaho. Visit Josh’s website
