Christian Science is based in the teachings of Jesus and the insights of our founder, Mary Baker Eddy. We study the Bible and Eddy’s textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and these two books are our pastor.

About Science and Health

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures contains a complete explanation of Christian Science and provides spiritual interpretation of biblical writing. It maps out how to follow Christ Jesus’ example and how to heal spiritually. Mrs. Eddy dedicates her chapters to concepts such as prayer, how to take a scientific approach to healing, and a glossary of terms in the Bible.

Reading From Our Pastor

Each Christian Science church elects two members of the congregation to serve a term as readers. They lead our Sunday and Wednesday services by reading selections from the Bible and our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. They also select inspiring hymns to accompany the theme of the service!

Our Sunday sermon includes a reading of the weekly Bible Lesson, a set of passages which are studied by Christian Scientists across the world. With 26 subjects that repeat twice during the year, the Bible Lessons explore core themes such as our relationship to God. In Sunday School, young people explore the week’s stories and grow their understanding of the Bible.
